The chairperson shall be appointed by the elders. The chairperson shall recommend candidates for the property board. Candidates shall be approved by the elders. The chairperson shall conduct monthly meetings to determine action needed to care for the physical church facilities and shall organize, direct and monitor the work of property board personnel as they carry out their individual responsibilities.
Members of the property board shall be entrusted with the care of the properties of the church. With the approval of the elders, they shall establish written policies concerning the use of church facilities and equipment. The signing officers of the church shall be the Elder Chairman, the Finance Ministries Chairperson and the Property Ministries Chairperson. They shall sign, seal and deliver documents and legal papers required to conduct official church business. They shall not be empowered to deed, rent, convey, mortgage, buy or sell the property of the church without the vote of the congregation. The property board members shall have oversight of the aesthetics of the church facilities including interior and exterior decorating.
